This is exciting - I've partnered with Hutt Community for their annual Secret Santa initiative, to make a difference to children this Christmas in the Lower Hutt area.

I've received so many positive comments about this book  - mainly how the street scene reminded people of their own childhood.

When Rita approached me to see if there was any way I could help with their project, she also mentioned how much the book meant to her and how teary she was when she first read it. After a few  emails we found a way - and it feels so good to be helping!

Come join me in supporting their Secret Santa and assist the Hutt Community in achieving their goal by purchasing a copy of Enough - a story about community or by paying it forward for $20.

'A few year ago, I was at the library with my niece and nephew and happened upon this beautiful book. Reading it was so meaningful to me as a person trying to support my community. I immediately ordered several copies for children in my life and one to give to Kokiri Marae Pātaka Kai. Our local Pātaka Kai set up an amazing Kaupapa Māori food parcel service during covid. This book was a way to give a beautiful book with children in my family and to share my passion for supporting our community with them.

As I was reflecting on our kaupapa for Hutt Community Secret Santa, I thought of this book and what it means to me. I didn't have any copies of my own because I was so excited to share the book with others. Before I was going to check out my cart, I emailed Deborah Hinde and expressed how much her book means to me and how it ties in with our Hutt Community Secret Santa. I asked her if there was any way that she could help us with our project.

I was beyond delighted to hear her response. She's offered to partner with us so she can still give $1 from each book sold to Feed the Kids in Whaingaro and support the amazing creative projects author Sarah Johnson and Deborah as an illustrator are doing. Deborah's kindness and generosity in supporting our fundraising effort adds another layer of magic for me. I am so excited to share this beautiful book with others in my community. It is a great gift and buying directly from us supports our project.' - Rita

This fundraiser is an amazing example of circular giving for community good.
